For 15 years, The Downtown Chamber Series has presented over 100
concerts in downtown Phoenix, pairing the tried and true with a contemporary voice: Schubert or Beethoven may whet the appetite, then an entree of Steve Reich or George Crumb, or songwriter Joe Pug or indie band Low Anthem.

Last June K-Bach held our Very First Film Event at the FILMBAR in downtown Phoenix and it SOLD OUT! Thursday, October 16, 7:30pm, we'll present the second part of the series, Nodame Cantibile 2, a popular Japanese movie that’s based on a best selling comic about a young pianist and a conductor. Local conductor Keitaro Harada grew up in Japan—and with the comic, Nodame Cantabile. He chats with Sterling Beeaff about the comic’s influence in revitalizing Japan’s classical music scene.

Southwest Shakespeare Company concludes their 20th Anniversary Season with an innovative take on a Midsummer Night's Dream: FairyWorlds! at the Desert Botanical Garden. K-Bach's Sterling Beeaff catches up with Producing Director Jared Sakren.

Just over a year ago Arizona Opera had a change in leadership and disclose significant financial problems. Since then companies around the world, San Diego, Indianapolis, even in Italy and London have made the news because of similar problems. Arizona Opera tackled the problem head on and has found strong community and business support largely because of it open policies and new leadership.
